| Parent's Place
Parental involvement in a child's education is necessary for successful academic achievement. Lions Academy offers a variety of opportunities for parents to be active in their child's academic journey. They include parent support seminars, open forum discussions, and presentations on various early childhood and child development topics.
Another critical component in a student's academic success is regular communication between parents and teachers. All teachers are willing to schedule time to meet with parents. Weekly bulletins are also sent home to keep parents abreast of classroom activities and learning objectives.
Parent Teacher Organization (PTO)
Join the PTO today! All parents are encouraged to get involved. Meetings are held on the 2nd Thursday of every month at 5:30pm. Childcare is provided. Contact Tonya Glaze by email or by phone at (847) 360-1054 to get more information.
Reasons to get involved
Each year, The PTO reaches out in search of parents who would like to volunteer to help with events for the School year. When you give your time and efforts to the School, you will feel good knowing that:
- Your volunteerism is vital to the success of our events. The proceeds from PTO events are gifted annually toward the enrichment of School programs.
- You will build excellent relationships with fellow parents that you might have never met otherwise.
- You will learn more about the School by becoming more involved.
- Your students will be proud that you are interested in their education and School experiences (even if they don’t act like they are…)
We look forward to seeing and working with you this year!
